Fire Craft!

Light, warmth, cooking food and boiling drinking water. Fire is about the most useful tool there
is in the wilderness learn how to light and build a fire in a fun and practical way using different techniques and gather materials from the wood.

Techniques used

• flint and steel use
• make your own charcloth/char pencils to take home
• use a kelly kettle – warm drink for children made over the fire (please bring a cup) I will need to be aware of allergies or you can bring your own drink to add hot water.
• Fire games!

Bring snacks to nibble on as you may get hungry in the woods and a cup for your hot drink!

We will meet opposite the cafe in the shack!

Age: 6+ years – accompanying adults are free and asked to join in!
