King Harold’s Missing Crown

One Thousand Years Ago the Saxons lived here in ancient Wessex. Then the Norman’s came! William the Conqueror slew King Harold at the Battle of Hastings, only 15 miles from Wilderness Woods. Local legend has it that a band of Harold’s loyal followers rescued his crown and hid it in these woods.

All children between the age of 6 and 11 are hereby invited to sign up as loyal Saxons and help us find King Harold’s Missing Crown. You must be fit, intelligent and brave.

We will face many tasks on our venture. Den Building, Nightwalking, Crossing Streams, in the hope of finding the crown, which is hidden in a Secret Hide-out, where we must hide from the Norman’s and live the life of Saxo

Cost: 5/6 groats per Saxon (£12.00 in modern money) for a 2 hour session –
